Tembaletu Special School

Flairs started Gymnastics classes at Tembaletu Special School in 2015 and are working with over 50 learner from two of the practical classes at the school. The classes are taught by two of the Flairs coaches and they are assisted by the class teachers.

The Gymnastics classes give the learners the opportunity to take part in a sport that assists with their physical therapy. The equipment supplied to the schools is also accessible for the medical team at the school to utilise for therapy. The learners love the classes and work mainly on display work as well as apparatus testing. The learners also took part in the SAGF National Gym Games in 2016 winning a silver medal in the Gym for Life Contest.

The aim for this project is to service all four practical classes at the school with Gymnastics and to further educate the teachers in becoming gymnastics coach.
